"you see" said Samoth seriusly, as he spoke."Tachiim is a well know bird master, in his skills. And dont underrestymate his knowledge eighter, he has wast knowledge of bout Iga, and Koga structure, and belive me if he wanted Kamui dead, he would already be so. And he is no coward eighter, he is no leader, he has set himself under the other dogs, becurse he sees that, they dont need a leader, and he will not let anybody call him san or leader, becurse he is not. He only wants too be left alone, in the northen edges of the northen borders of Koga territory. And i said no, i would not follow him, he asked me, but my loyalty lays too Kamui, i dont know why Tachiim became a rebel eighter. All his family tree, he has ruined and dishonord, i hopes he gets a fit punishment, for failing his family", Samoth said biterly." But it will not be easy too get him down from his path, where he is now. I know he has 50 strong elite Iga dogs, and 50 elite Koga dogs, and has two second in commands, one Iga training the Iga too the fullest, and a Koga second in command that is training the Kogas too the fullest too. I only hope this will end without bloodshed, or menny a good dog will die neadlessly".

"Oh no, that's fine," Kamui said as he walked into the healer's den, shooting a reprimanding backwards glance at Akane. The joke was amusing, but he had to try to be politically correct and not encourage the rather cruel humor, no matter how much he appreciated it. He quickly switched his focus to Samoth, who was talking.
"...and belive me if he wanted Kamui dead, he would already be so."
Kamui snorted derisively at this rather bold statement but otherwise said nothing, not wanting to interrupt the injured dog mid-speech.
"...I only hope this will end without bloodshed, or menny a good dog will die neadlessly."
The Koga leader took a brief moment to evaluate what had just been said. He spoke again with a tone of bitterness clear in his voice, "If Tachiim wants this to end without bloodshed, he's not showing it very well. If he wanted to be left alone in the northern borders of Koga territory like you said he does, he could have done just that; you don't need an army to be by yourself. He has betrayed our whole clan and is gathering an army to wage war on the Kogas and Igas. If you still have that much faith in him, you must have injured more than just your side." Kamui shook his head wearily. "And about the crows... we're aware that they're not the most trustful creatures, but they could give us a lot of information. Akane has already struck up a deal with them."

Akane glared at Samoth as he spoke, but something satisfied him when he talked about numbers of elite dogs. He knew all the elites he trained by name, and so far only one was unaccounted for - Kitanai - and he wasn't even fully trained yet. Fact of the matter was that there were no such number as 50 elites in the Koga clan. 20, 25 at the most by Akane's count. True, there were some he trained who didn't quite pass the bar so were dismissed back into the normal ranks; perhaps they told Tachiim they were Koga-brand elites just so they would be respected by him. He didn't know of the Iga having such a team, however, and perhaps the numbers for them were true; if they were, then their quality control was not up to Akane and Kamui's standards, clearly. "You worry too much about weak minds beyond control, beyond Tachiim's control." Akane grumbled, "All he has are traitors, dogs that will lie and deceive us and him if they think they can have a better life for it." He turned to one of the healers suddenly as a wondering thought hit him, "Will he be able to stand tomorrow morning?" "Uhm... That depends, Sir. The leaves will have to be kept on, but-" "Well whatever it depends on, make sure he does it." Akane looked at Samoth with devious eyes. A plan suddenly came to mind about how to manipulate the Carrion Crow and test whether they are in contact with Tachiim or not. But he needed Samoth and his co-operation in order for it to work. "Kamui..." He said at length, "...with your permission, I would like to take Samoth to the house at dawn before the birds come. I will need him to get all we can out of the birds..." He crouched down and looked at Samoth with fire in his eyes, "It might only take you to win this war before it's begun... what say you?" Akane flicked a trusting glance to Kamui. What he had in mind could work, but he needed everyone but himself and Samoth to be unaware about it in order for it to be effective. He didn't much like keeping Kamui in the dark, but hopefully he understood.

"you see Akane, i dont need more healing too help you" said Samoth. His week body was shaking, and he lifted himself upp. "I can perfectly stand upp, and follow you, we southerlings are not week whelps. I Samoth pledge aligeance to Kamui and too you Akane, so what do you want me too do", he looked at Akane." What are you shooked that i can stand upp allready, ok i am sorry for my former behavior. And you Kamui, i knew your father, i worked under him, and he respected me as i was, do you the same. I know i have a big mouth, but that all we southerling have", Samoth said with a smirk."As for the birds, they are not trusted, becurse you heard why, and Tachiim is not too be underrestimated my friends. But ill do as you say Akane". He laid himself under Akane, second in command, i bove my head with shame". He came back upp, and did the same with Kamui, and then laid back in the shadows, no leaves had fallen down, and he felt much better."I am as strong as ever", Samoth said. And looked trough the shadows, with his pircing light blue eyes."Will it be tonight then", said Samoth too Akane, and closed his eyes, and then opened them again. Ill lay here, and wait for you Akane, i must rest for the time being, or is it somthing else you want to say Kamui, just fire away", said Samoth smiling.

The plan of action proposed by Akane made Kamui more than just a little suspicious, but after a moment's consideration he gave in. "Alright," he said firmly, "just remember; whatever you do, I will find out." The Koga leader felt he needed to reinforce this just because the devious look in his second-in-command's eyes worried him a little. He turned back to Samoth, "No, I've heard all there is to hear and said all there is to say. Goodbye." He smiled a little and then left the healer's hut.

Akane smiled as Kumai left. He wanted Kamui to be there, and any others if they do happened to be. What he didn't want was any tell-tale glances and expecting smiles - birds could pick up on that in the blink of an eye, and if that happened, the plan would be shot. "Very well," Akane grumbled slightly at Samoth's persistence of Tachiim having control of the birds, but tomorrow morning he was going to prove him wrong, "tonight I want you to rest. Healers, I want you to attend to his every whim as I need him as fit as possible tomorrow morning when I come. Understood?" "Yessir." "Good. As for what is to be done, I will explain to you tomorrow," he nodded at Samoth in a way to say that there would be no arguments, "anticipation of what is to come brings out the best in all of us." He swiped his tongue around his teeth and turned to leave, "I will retire to the house and will return for you when the dawn chorus sounds." Akane walked away without another word and made his way slowly to the house. On the way he was approached by an Elite Koga who gave him a report that each Elite has a training team, and asked what to begin with the next day. Akane ordered a condensed training regime and was on his way again.
Padding silently onto the wooden floor in the house, he went straight to 'his' room. He looked around and saw all the damage he had done to the walls over the past year. On the outer wall, he had split the wood all the way up from half way and a shaft of outdoor light lit the center of the floor. Akane could only just recall of the last time he was confined here; it was when that Iga female Katsuo came for... he couldn't remember why. That was a thought - would they meet again when battling Tachiim's army? Akane shook his head to rid his busy mind.
Walking in a circle, he laid down in the same spot he always had; head on his paws with the moonlight shining on his muzzle. In that spot, he could look upwards and see the sky through the crack in the wood. Closing his eyes, he performed his ending ritual for the day; his last waking thought was a 'goodnight' to Kikuteru, his mate long since passed, and it was perhaps the only time he was truly at peace. Despite his instability during the day, at night he slept soundly as if nothing in the world could wake him. Sometimes he even woke to find that other Kogas permitted to sleep in the house had slept next to him without fear of being reprimanded, but of course, Akane always made himself scarce before they woke up to find him there.

Samoth looked at the healers with a smile." You heard what he said", he walked over too the shadows." I like too be in the shadow zone, where nobody can see my body, i dont know why, i have had this fear from i was a puppy, that everybody was looking at me, so i came too dwell must part of my life in the shadows, so now i am one with the shadows.I have a friend too, my ears and eyes, him you will see later". Said Samoth with a smile," how do you else think, i know so much about everyone hm". He laid himself down too sleep, for the next day too come.

The sun rose and reigned down in full-force onto Kamui. The Koga leader tried to move away, but piercing sunlight came at him from every angle. Giving up, he rose to his paws and walked out of the house, stretching and yawning on the front porch. The camp was just starting to wake up; males and females alike were starting to get prepared for the day, both mentally and physically. Quickly gauging the amount of time he had before he would be assaulted with his leader duties, Kamui decided that he would be able to hunt and get a drink from the river. He bounded down the steps and moved his way to the trees, greeting each awoken Koga as he did so. With a flash he jumped into the trees and silently leaped from branch to branch, each movement fluid and effortless. After only a few moments he had caught, killed and eaten a squirrel. Now that his belly was full he went down to the river to quench his thirst. The water was cool and delicious, the perfect antidote to the rough squirrel meat he had previously downed. Kamui returned to camp once he was adequately refreshed and waited for Akane and Samoth to wake up. Whatever they planned on doing, he wasn't going to miss it.

Akane had awakened long before the others just as the tip of the sun started to bleed on the land. He was up high in one of the trees far from any hint of noise below simply soaking in the surroundings as it became lighter. It was all so still... "Another promising day." He exhaled with a smile and lazily jumped down each branch, seeing Kamui dash off for breakfast.
Stopping on a branch just shy of the house, he saw a couple of Koga walking out onto the porch and stretching. Smirking, he then took a strong leap to land with a hard thud in front of them. One leapt back in shock while the other stood his ground and was ready to growl, "Good. If I were an Iga, you'd be ready to take me." He looked at the one that cowered, "You, on the other hand, would be dead." He turned away disapprovingly. How he loved his surprize inspections...
Arriving at the opening of the healers hut, Akane stopped and scratched his muscular shoulders using the entrance beams, "Samoth," his voice boomed in the still morning air, "it's time; I hope you're hungry."

but Samoth was allready awake, and looked at Akane with amusement in his eyes." I am not much of an eater, but ill follow you whereever you take me", Samoth said. And raised himself upp, and the leafs fall off his body, and there was a big singular scar on his side, and in the other side too. But he streached his muscles, he streached his hinds muscles too, they where so werry stiff after having laid so much in the healers hut, and came walking upp to Akane. "Good morning Akane, its seams too be a great day, so where do you want me to go", asked Samoth with a humerius smirk. He liked Akane temper too, but dident anger him too much now, while he was in this state of healt, but his eyes where filled of mirth.

Kamui got to his paws once he heard the sound of Akane and Samoth talking. The Koga leader walked up to them and stretched his front legs again, trying to get the lingering stiffness out of his limbs. Once he was done, he turned to face his second-in-command. "I hope its alright if I tag along." Although those words could be taken as a question, the look in Kamui's eyes and his tone of voice made it clear that it was a statement. "I want to see what your plan is."

Akane glanced at Samoth's wounds and opened his mouth to speak when Kamui approached. He dipped his head in greeting and smiled, "You know I wouldn't have it any other way, Sir." Trotting a full circle around Samoth, he stopped at his quickly healing wound and sniffed around it, "Hmm, you're a fast healer... this wil never do." He took a step back, "Stay still, and forgive me. Blood needs to be seen and smelt for this to work." In the blink of an eye, he retracted his paw back into himself and hit the wound; simply the pressure of his strike opened up the center and fresh blood started to flow steadily. "Perfect. You're a stong dog, this shouldn't phase you in the least." He growled contentidly and motioned for Samoth and Kamui to follow, "Let me explain something to you about Carrion Crow. They don't travel in packs, like us; they are birds that pair up and travel alone. The ones I met yesterday were of a great number. It wasn't... natural." He lead them up to the house and guided them into a room that had a large hole in the roof, "My plan is to force out the leader of the group by using his mate. Samoth, this is why your role is so important. If I can get his mate close to you, I need you to grab it in your teeth and not let go. If my knowledge is correct, the rest will scatter, and the one that remains will tell us all we need to know in exchange for his mates life." He sat down, "All you need to do is lie down in the middle of the floor with your wound facing up at this hole, and... play dieing." He laughed, "Breathe heavily, close your eyes, you get the idea. Leave the rest up to me, and don't grab the bird until I tell you to." Akane's tail wagged at his own deviousness; he did enjoy putting his plans to work.
"They'll be here soon. Leader, take a front seat and watch Samoth prove his worth."

and Samoth looked at Akane, and when he opened his wound,he only gave a little grunt."So you wont me too be bait for the carrion crow".And he looked after Akane with mirth in his eyes, and said."I begin you like you youngsters",Samoth said to Akane and Kamui."I think you did it for some revenge to,Akane you dont fool me you know. But ill do whatever you want me to do, and ill catch that Bird brain for you to,i will hold its neck, between my teath. When i have done this have i then proven my self for your bouth´s trust hm",asked Samoth them bouth."And i dont like the to show myself, but ill do it for you bouth",said Samoth."So shall i lay myself over there",asked Samoth. And looked over at the opening, where the sunlight came in."So everybody will atlast see my body,i dont like it", said Samoth frightfully."But ill do it for my own good,i must fight my phobia of being seen by others, and not hide in the shadows anymore,i must win over my phobia" said Samoth to Akane and Kamui. Samoth shiverd all over, and sweat came pouring down his face, and he gave a nick too them," ill follow your orders leader and second incomand", and Samoth boved too them bouth.

Kamui nodded his approval and sat down about 10 or so feet away from where Samoth lay in the center of the room. He could see the worry in the subordinate's eyes; Kamui had no particular preference between light or dark, so he could be feeling the full force of the sun or be enveloped by shadows and he'd still feel comfortable, but he knew that wasn't the case for Samoth. Why did he stick to the darkness so much? Was it a self-esteem issue, or something else entirely? Since he wasn't able to think up a good enough answer, the Koga leader shelved these thoughts and watched the opening in the roof patiently, absentmindedly drawing circles in the dirt with a claw.

Akane watched Samoth closely. The fear of being in the light and his obvious agitation only made his act more believable. Sitting down, he waited patiently until a flick of his ears signaled the presence of wing-beats approaching. "They're here." He said quietly and raised his nose to the hole in the roof. A dense shadow cast over Samoth as at first, the entire flock flew by and circled before landing on the roof and surrounding trees. One by one, dark heads popped over the edge - one bird hopped down onto one of the roof supports inside, "Red-bark! I come, as promise." It was the male carrion crow he had talked to before. "Ahhhh, thank you my friend, for coming so promptly." As ever the flawless actor, Akane stood up with a calm air about him and a pleasant smile, "You have what I asked for?" "ARK! You give meal first, that was deal." "I'm afraid you misunderstood... information, then your meal." Akane purposely flicked his eyes at Samoth in an exaggerated way so the bird would notice. "B...ARK! Black-bark! You have black-bark!" Akane gave a full-bellied laugh, "Oh? You sound surprized." Perfect. Caniving as they were, they were still only simple enough to pick up on things like colour. Clearly, the bird knew of Tachiim and confirmed his suspicions of working for him; the bird was mistaking Samoth for the rebel leader. "Impossible!" the bird turned tail and was ready to leave, "You no need us! You have black-bark, you win!" "Ah-ah-ah, not so fast." Akane patted the wooden floor with his paw encouragingly, "Black-bark still has army and is too close to death to tell us where it is. You will have to tell us, and in return, you will feast on the creature that plagued all the land."
The bird paused, then hopped down in front of Akane to take a closer look at the dieing koga. After his feet hit the floor, his mate quickly followed him, as predicted. Now Akane got up and circled them, "We hurt him with tree branch. Look at his eyes if you don't believe me; life in black-bark is gone." This was it. While the male took a closer look at Samoth's wound, the female hopped over close to Samoth's maw to see his eyes... Grab it, now, Samoth!
((ooc: I'll hand the role of the bird over to you Kamui after Samoth makes his move - I can't have all the fun now can I? XD ))
