"Heh, the General's a strange one. Just when you think you've figured him out, he turns the tables." The Koga stumbled when Samoth flinched from the pain, "Easy easy, we're nearly there." "He's mad you know." Began the other, "In the head I mean. I heard that if he ever got really bad - I mean really off the level - Akane made Kamui promise to end his life. Do you think his rage comes is because of some kind of pain? I heard someone say that he has a storm in his head." "Hah, listen to you yammering on. I bet you heard all that from the gossip chains... He's probably just an ill dog, that's all. Anyway, I'd say you were lucky Samoth. It was either going to be that branch, of his jaws." They both couldn't help but laugh. But they were cut short by the healers who without a word took Samoth away from them.
Not far past Koga grounds sat a maroon red Koga, hunched over in exhaustion. Blood dripped slowly down from his muzzle and onto his heaving chest, audible growls emanating from his throat as he breathed. The ground was a mess before him - he didn't even stop to take note of the rebel's face, or ask why he had betrayed them for Tachiim in the first place. Akane didn't even remember using the stick in the end, in fact, he was sure of it. The desire to bite and tear was too much, so he threw it away at the last moment. In the midst of his rage something subconsciously told him to do the job quickly so that no sound would be made, and that he did... in a sense. Cruelly, he bit down on it's throat just hard enough to destroy anything that could make a sound before proceeding to essentially shred whatever he could grip with his teeth. All the while there was a deafening ring in his ears, which continued long after the mangled body lay still. That was why he was sat there; he couldn't move, for the thunder was too loud.

Kamui slowly drifted into sleep, one that was filled with nightmares. In his mind he was fighting a battle with an unknown Iga when the sky suddenly turned blood red. The Iga warrior disappeared, leaving Kamui to stare at the sky. Blackness was rising on the horizon. A cold wind ruffled his mohawk. As the black shape began to slowly form into something, Kamui felt his stomach flop --- it was Tachiim. The traitor's face was twisted into a cruel snarl, his green eyes alight with murderous humor. Hundreds of shadowy dogs emerged from the trees, and although Kamui took up an offensive stance, he knew he had no chance. They ran forward and pounced on him, dragging his flailing body to the ground...
He woke up to find himself rolling around on his back, mumbling incoherently. It took him a moment to realize his surroundings; once he did, he felt quite foolish, but at the same time glad that this took place in his private living quarters. The Koga turned his head to look out the back window; the sun was not much lower in the sky. How much time has passed? I feel like I haven't slept a wink!, he wondered as he stepped outside. Something else hit him as he looked around camp: Where was Akane? Kamui jumped off the deck and walked toward the edge of the main camp, all the while keeping an eye out for his second-in-command. His anxiety increased with each second. Had he been ambushed? Alright, if he's not here by the time the shadow of that tree touches my paws, then I'm going after him. Kamui looked at said shadow again. If his estimate was right, that time would be up in around 5-10 minutes, so he sat and waited.

"No prey, silly Bark." Akane's eyes opened. Who was that? "ARK! He not prey for you, Bark - you give?"
Akane looked up and squinted towards the sun. Up in the lower branches of trees, carrion crows had gathered all around him. They were simple creatures, and so was their speech; they called other animals by their voice or colours and in this case, Akane was a Bark. "You keel, but you no eat Bark. We eat Bark, many dead Bark." One crow seemed to be the head of the group and had positioned himself at the lowest branch closest to Akane. "You crows do well to dispose of our handy work." Akane grumbled and stood up, "Yours." He simply said, and began to walk away. "Where you go? Not part of big flock?" Akane stopped. Big flock... the bird must mean pack, "Where is flock?" He asked, trying to use simple speech as they did. There was nothing worse than fighting verbally with a bird for a clear understanding. "It move, many time. Steal White-Barks and roosts. Steal Dark-Barks and roosts. Much big. No like - they take our trees too." Growling inwardly, Akane paced up and down licking his lips as he did so. Tachiim's army seemed to be moving much like locusts if this bird spoke the truth. "Crow," he began, "I am a Dark-Bark, you know where Dark-Bark big roost is?" "YAR!" It called and flapped its wings, "Big roost, house, many teeth! Not good for White-Bark!" "Good," he sneered, "We hate big flock. We fight big flock soon. We win, you eat, friend. You eat. But... we need to find flock first." Akane knew that food was the only thing on a carrion crows mind at any time, and so began to try and strike a deal with them. If he could get these birds on their side for the time being with the promise of eating like kings, they would have the advantage of eyes in the air. "You find big flock, then tell me at house tomorrow. I give you meal for help. Deal?" "ARK! We find at sun-up, then tell you." The crow nodded, and all the others seemed to copy him. "I wait for you in house, friend crow." With that he turned around, tail lolloping side to side in confidence of his new 'friends' who at that moment all flapped down from the trees and started squabbling over the dog carcass.
On the way home, Akane stopped a few times to lick himself. He'd made a quite a mess, even for him, and he didn't want the others to get the wrong idea about exactly how many souls made up the blood on his chest. His muzzle was still stained when he looked up and saw Kamui sitting patiently by a tree, staring down at its shadow. He realized then exactly how long he had been away.

"i have no time too stay here", said Samoth too the healer. And tried too lift himself upp, but went down with a flop."Darn call the leader, and general, i want too speak too them bouth", said Samoth seriusly. And tried once more too life his body upp, and could stand upp, a shadow touched him. And it was like he was fading away, and he walked too that shadow, and rested there, head on paws, and wated for them too come. He was after all still the shadow, he wuldent let pain over take his body. He was badly wounded, but he had saved their lifes, and now after some days in the care of the healers, he felt better, but not as his former self, that he would never do again in his entire life. He had infact sacrificed his healt too save these two dogs, and he still felt that he had a special place in their ranks, but that was not in importance now. The most important thing was, that that they did not underestimate Tachiim, but he also tough that Tachiim would meybe make a deal, and end this war without bloodsheed, what so ever, but that it was entierly into them, and Tachiim too chuse. Better if everithing ended in a pease treaty, between them and Tachiim, did Samoth think.

6 minutes. Kamui had been sitting there for about 6 minutes, and he was debating on whether or not to get up or sit and wait a few more moments when a red figure made its way into view. Akane. Kamui slowly rose to his feet and gave a little nod of greeting. Although he could plainly see the blood on Akane's muzzle, once his second-in-command got close enough he said, "I'm guessing it's done, then?" He didn't feel like he needed to elaborate; the two of them knew well enough what 'it' was. While he waited for a response from Akane, he couldn't help but wonder what else the dark Koga had done; Akane was efficient, and it shouldn't have taken him too long to kill one dog.

"They're both unavailable right now," replied a healer who was chewing some leaves to release the toxins before putting them on Samoth's wounds, "all you can do now is rest. You need not worry about them."
Akane nodded back at Kamui, still walking toward him. When directly in front of him, he stopped, and for the moment was the very vision of calm as he had succumbed to sheer fatigue. However his stance was still strong as always and not an inch of him moved or faltered from the weight he could feel on his shoulders. "Yes, Sir." Akane answered with another nod. Even though they were alone, he was insisting on being formal. Perhaps he felt guilty for forcing Kamui to come and look for him, "I'm sorry for taking so long. I did not mean to worry you." His voice sounded tired, but he was genuinely touched and thankful that his dear friend came to look for him. "I have good news, however. I managed to befriend a crow of all creatures," he began, "it seems that we are not the only ones who want to see the traitors army gone."

"i hope that, if he did go after that dog, that Akane dident fall for that bird thrik. Becurse Tachiim himself is a werry good birdspeaker himself, and i think all crows, and ravens, are under his command.Go out and find Akane, and say too him that if he talked with a krow, or raven, he can shoot a white arrow at it. Becurse Tachiim has it, as his eyes, he is not stupid you know, he is a werry good tacktichan, and a werry good planner.Remember before he became a rebel leader, he had allready all the birds around here, as his spyies. So if Akane or somebody else has befriended anny such being, they do belong to Tachiim, or will belong. I have known Tachiim long enough, to know this my friend. So give this warning too them all, the birds can not be trusted, becurse they are the minnions of TachiimĀ“s host, even if they say somthing else. Birds are more clever then they show you know, and they are traytorous too". Samoth laid down and slept for days out, and days in, in a long slumber, that was for weeks. It was a healing process, he had learnt under the spy trayning, and as a mighty worrior as he was, he knew how too deal with pain.Samoth was much more, than seems the eyes.

Kamui could see that Akane was truly apologetic, so he didn't worry about it. "It's fine," he said, "but crows? That's... odd." The Koga leader was wide-eyed at this revelation, and his mind was instantly racing with ideas. "If they truly are on our side, they would be incredibly helpful. What did they say to you?" He had never before talked to creatures other than dogs, so the thought that Akane had actually had a conversation with crows was exciting.

((I guess if Samoth is 'out for days', he's no longer part of this RP?))
"Well, actually, I got the impression that I wasn't the first dog they ever talked to." Hindsight was a wonderful thing, and Akane smiled deviously, "It's not unheard of for a bird to say the odd thing to dogs here and there, but this one made an effort to catch my attention. They're certainly not stupid; and they know very well that their speech makes them appear as such." Akane sat down and let go a lengthy exhale. His brow furrowed as if in thought, but actually he just had a headache, "Birds are fickle creatures, especially carrion crow." He opened his eyes again. Akane was meticulous by nature and made a point about knowing what exactly resided in the land around them. He had learnt to recognize the distress calls of certain birds that lived at various heights of the trees, and he was known for teaching others to listen for the warning call that squirrels made which came in handy when Igas tried to ambush from the trees. The difference between type of crow, however, was a relatively new venture of his. Perhaps he took the risk of talking to them to simply find out more about them. "They're bigger than normal crows, with darker feathers that reflect light like the surface of a pond" he continued, "and they appear to be a lot more forward when trying to communicate. I had noted that they traveled in pairs... but there was a pretty sizable group that had gathered after I had... done what had to be done." The General paused for a moment and pawed the ground as he could feel pockets of blood drying in uncomfortable places between his pads. "There's no doubt in my mind that they've conversed with dogs before. They may have even talked to our enemies... but promise them a quarry to fill hungry mouths for days, and they'll do as you ask and forsake the other. Puh, sly creatures - I think they must have watched my performance for all that time and thought me as a meal-giver." He grunted and smiled, "We'll find out if they keep their end of the bargain tomorrow after sunrise. If they come to the house, they will tell us where the traitors army is. But from what I can gather, they move as the crow flies..." He looked at Kamui in all seriousness, "I fear our time to prepare is fast running out, Sir."

ooc:not with anymore . nope he will awake before, of bad dreams, its so sad. and Samoth had a bad dream, he was dreaming about his familys death, all in new. How they where executed before his eyes, by some rouge Kogas. And that these rouge Kogas dident belong too the leader back then. So first he saw his mom being killed, they did hold her forelegs and hind legs, while her belly and chest was streached out on a flat stone, she was crying, the rouge leader came with his sickle, and cut her belly open, slowly while she was screaming in agony, the blood gushed out and covered the rouge leader, and he walked from her dead body. And too Samoths dad, and cut his head off, and the blood just went out of him like a fountain, so did Samoth see their hourendous death once more. And one Koga came with an army, and saved his life, and killed all the Rouge Kogas brutaly, it was gruesome. And Samoth woke upp with a scream of anguish, he had not slept more than hours, but felt a little bit stronger, but laid there, head on his paws, tears streaming out. It was his nightmare too see his familys death, everytime he went too a deep slumber, he was doomed to sleep just for a cuple of hours, or he would get those dreams.

Kamui took in all this information eagerly. Other creatures fascinated him, and learning that Akane knew so much was certainly interesting. He wished he paid more attention to the world around him, but his mind was often so cluttered that he found it hard to appreciate the little things in life. "The way through a bird's heart is his stomach," Kamui concurred, "and I fear that you're right. Tachiim won't be the type to beat around the bush; he's gathered an army and he'll strike as soon as he can. We'll just need everyone to train harder and keep an eye out for any sign that they're near camp."

Akane nodded and made an approving noise before standing, "This is where having an Elite team comes to fruition..." He commended Kamui silently, then, as forming such a rank was his idea. Akane always thought that Kamui giving him the project of training and presenting worthy fighters was simply so his fierce mind and fighting style could be put to some good use. But it wasn't like these creatures could be moulded instantly; it had taken at least two years to develope the group they have now. But this was perfect; Akane and his various ways had essentially been installed into them, and now others could be trained en-mass in a short amount of time. "They are more than capable of training groups themselves, and I assume such activities have already begun. Our fighting force alone will be more than a match for them even if they attack two days from now." Akane was sounding increasingly confident, "I will relay to each Elite training instructions, and you may distribute me where you wish, Sir." In his eagerness he had completely forgotten about the Iga's and their partnership, but even if he remembered, it probably wouldn't concern him. In his mind, their clan was more than enough to destroy the enemy.
Hearing the cry, a healer came and looked over Samoth. "...Is'e dead?" "No. I don't think the scream was from pain. The leaves should have numbed it by now." The healer cocked his head to look at Samoth's face; he had obviously had a bad dream. "Samoth, you're awake, and even though you might feel better you mustn't move, understand." He wasn't asking, he was demanding, "You can only move once the leaves fall off. When they fall off, it means the skin is healing and you can start moving again."

and Samoth noded and said." How long will this take, before i am fully healed. Send me a mesanger, i need too give Akane and Kamui, the message that they cant trust in birds around here, becurse they are the minions of TachiimĀ“s spy eyes, and ears too. They can seem to be hostile to tachiim, but i know he has wun their hearts, by all the massacres he has done, so give the message to them bouth, they can not be trusted.Darn i cant even move you say". So he laid there in the shadows, letting the shadows bate his fur, he loved the shadows, and looked at the healers. "You all have done a great job, i am happy too be under your care, so how long will this take, and when will i see Kamui and Akane", asked Samoth.

As Akane spoke, Kamui could feel the same optimism growing inside of him. They good do this; the Kogas were proud, dedicated and strong, while the rebels were unorganized and morally confused. Also, with the assistance of Raikou and the rest of the Igas, their numbers were doubled. If they played their cards right, the odds were definitely in both clans' favor. "Good, good. And Akane... you may rest if you wish. If you don't want to though, just go around and look for whatever needs the most attention." Kamui then turned around and started heading towards the healer's den. "If you need me, I'll be in the healer's den. I need to talk to Samoth."

"Geez, will you relax? You did yourself a number out there - it'll be at least two days before the skin heals over well enough." "And we're not sending a messenger out either. Akane knows more about birds than you give him credit for... oh wait, you don't give him credit for anything at all!" The healers and a few other wounded dogs laughed, "Tachiim's a dumbass to trust birds to stay on his side anyway. Hey, remember how the birds played us and the Iga?" "Ha, that was a classic." One of the wounded spoke and turned his head round to see Samoth, "Turned out this one crow had been spying on us and the Iga for weeks on end, then got its flock to fly up and call 'danger' in different places when both sides had made a lot of kills for the entire clan. Each side then left the kills to see if an attack was happening. Of course, there was no-one attacking anyone, and when we returned to the kills, they'd been stripped bare! The Iga found the same, and for a while both sides thought that the food was stolen by the other. It was embarrassing - to be out-witted by a damn bird!" "I think once they were found out, Akane started paying more attention to the birds. Rightly so, too; they have eyes in the air, and we don't."
----
"Ah yes, Samoth..." Akane began to follow Kamui, "I would like to accompany you for a short while, if you don't mind. I neglected to see whether I had re-arranged any of his insides when I unpinned him from the house." He knew very well that nothing of the sort had happened and hoped Kamui would forgive the joke, and the almost cruel chuckle that followed. "I will not linger though. I promised the birds a meal in return tomorrow, so I may need to task one or two of the hunters to help me find something suitable." Akane thought deeply as they walked. No doubt the birds were familiar with bargaining and being sold short. It was well known that only the toughest wild boars dared live around the Koga territory, so perhaps acquiring one of those beasts would secure their alliance.
