Frowning, Joumae nodding, though not wanting to admit that, for the moment, she'd been enjoying his company. But of course he would defend his honor being who he was, and the fact that she'd simply shouted at and bled on the offending Kogas didn't really drive the point home. Instead of letting her disappointment show, Joumae continued limping through the Koga camp to the medic ward where, after waiting a grueling ten minutes, someone finally came to see her and patched her up as best as possible. She stepped out of the cave, astonished to find the moon already high in the sky, and wondered sadly what she could possibly do now, especially with these injuries. Sighing, she limped back into the Koga camp, wondering if perhaps she could catch a glimpse of Kitanai before she lost him for good. Smirking, she noticed the two Kogas who had ben mocking Akane before, and she held back her laughter as they apologized for what they did. Once they'd slunk off into the shadows, Joumae settled down by the lake, her paws in the water to cool her down. The walk there took more out of her than she thought. But she wasn't ready to give up enough of her pride as to lie about in the medic cave until her wounds healed. A little pain every once in a while can do a dog some good.

Not long after Joumae left the cave, Akane arrived himself and looked in on the wounded. "Where is the boy." He demanded. "In the house as far as I know," one of the medics replied, "some of your front line took him away." "The house?!" The Commander bellowed. The Koga House was a prestigious place, where only those of higher status in the pack were authorised entry. His other charges knew better than to take him there... didn't they? Akane huffed a thank you and took his leave.

"Um, I dunno about this," Kitanai mumbled, his ears flattened against his neck. His scarred neck, he might add. One of his eyes, his right eye, was swollen shut and covered in dried blood. Due to Joume's ferocity in the battle, he'd nearly died of blood loss, and the wounds, or so the medics said, weren't going away any time soon. All the better, he thought; without his spotless coat, he looked less like a wimp and more like a warrior. Yet, at this point, he really wanted to be a wimp. "I-I-I'm not allowed in here!" "Tch, quit whining and hurry up, boy!" one of his new comrades snapped. The instant the medics deemed that he was no longer in serious condition, three of the Kogas from Akane's front line arrived, declaring that since they were in charge of him, and since he was supposed to be under their watch 24-7, they might as well get the chance to do as they pleased--as long as he was around. "Seriously, guys!" whined Kitanai. "I don't wanna be here!" He glanced around at the other Kogas who, at this point, were staring at him curiously. Surely most of them knew who he was--that brat who followed Joumae--and even those who didn't know his name knew his face after his battle with Joumae earlier that day. They whispered about him and glared at him with each step he took. "Can't I just go--" "I said quit complaining punk!" another of the Kogas snarled. "We want to hang out in the house tonight and you are under orders to stay with us at all times!" Kitanai frowned. "I'm pretty sure that's not what--" "Shut up!" one of them growled, head-butting Kitanai's throbbing chest. "Just shut up and follow us like a good little boy, got it?!" Kitanai nodded furiously. "Yes s-s-sir!"

A furious red Koga thundered into camp and flew up the steps of the Koga house, making quite an entrance. "Oi, Sensei," whether it was visible to the others or not, Akane's front line were given the luxury of being more lax with their words in front of the Commander. He moulded them in his own image, after all, "we were just giving Kitanai a... a guided tour of where he might end up." They smirked at each other. Fortunately for Kitanai, Akane had turned up before he was forced to perform any further initiations away from his tutors watchful eye. But Akane's eyes, for the moment, were fixated on no particular Koga; the flames from his stare simply lapped around anyone who dared look into it. His equally frightening silhouette in the doorway was made even more fearsome by the fog rushing from his flaring nostrils like an awakened dragon. The hard, monotanous breaths soon calmed however, and the bright moonlight they were blessed with that night caught the flash of a small, sly grin that broke out on his muzzle. "Tell me, Kitanai, do you know what it's like to not know where you are?" Akane walked further into the house so Kitanai could see him properly, "Or to have no sense of time? No sense of smell? Hearing?" He sat down in front of him while two of the Koga's in the group made themselves scarce. "True fear is having all your senses taken away in your time of need, and true courage is the willingness to carry on in spite of it... There is no room in this house for fear, Kitanai. Do you understand?" For the moment, it wasn't entirely clear where Akane was going with his little barrage of impossible questions, however the expressions on the Koga's who had taken Kitanai into the house in the first place soon stiffened in realization of what was inevitable - be it now or a few days time.

"Fear?" Kitanai echoed, swallowing down any kind of terror still lingering within him. "There is no fear here, sensei, I swear it. At least..." He shot a glance at one of the other Kogas nearby to him, not trying to be arrogant, yet holding a certain contempt in his eyes since, after all, they were the ones who brought him there. "There is none within me."

((ooc sorry for any spelling mistakes - glasses have gone walkies!))
Akane smiled victoriously as he concocted the next game for Kitanai to pass. Though, he was tied between two paths he could run with it, and decided it would be best to wait a while, "Good answer, that's what I like to hear." There was a tune in his voice just then before an expected scent wafted through the planks in the wall, "Ah, a persuasive argument for you to vacate these premises Kitanai. Miu! I know you're out there!" "Damnit." Miu cursed under her breath before walking into the light of the doorway, tail thrust between her legs. She was met with a moment of silence before the noises of pleased males errupted. "Sweetheart, come hang out with us!" One Koga stood up partially wagging his tail before another joined him, "Come on - we'll introduce you to the new kid-" "-SHUT your traps and keep your backsides on the wood!" Akane snarled and flared his top lip to get his troops back in line. Miu revelled in this and soon her tail was held nice and tight over her back as she adopted a rather alluring stance, "Akane-sama, you do well to keep them in line I must say." "Your breath is wasted on me, Miu." He didn't look at her and focused on those in front of him, "Miu, if you want your pound of flesh, take Kitanai away from here." "What? He gets to go with her?? Sensei, you can't be serious!" "You little shits forced him in here under false pretences. You know full well you don't touch a hair on him without my say so; you took advantage of his ignorance. I am late for an engagement, so rather than wipe the walls with you I'm rewarding Kitanai with your company. Any objections?" At that moment, all the Kogas cast a hateful glare to Kitanai. It was the sort of look a jealous older brother would give to a younger sibling for shoulding the punishment. "I thought not." Akane turned about and walked towards the door, "I will return soon. Miu, don't take Kitanai away from camp in his state - stay close to the house where there is protection." Miu ducked out of the way and bowed her head low as Akane walked out and down the steps, making an affirming noise as he left. She then stood up and jumped down the steps to wait for Kitanai.

Not wanting to see ungrateful of Akane's 'gift', Kitanai rose, slowly, and walked down the steps, trying his hardest to keep his eyes on his paws and not on the glares burning through his skin. Once there, he nodded silently to Miu, not exactly sure what he was supposed to say. When out of earshot and out of the dogs in the house's field of vision, he sat, motioning for her to do the same. "If it's not too much trouble, would you mind just going to wherever it is that you stay and not mention me letting you go to anyone? I don't need a baby-sitter and I'm..." He looked over her once more, noticing with a certain grunt of anger that the sunlight created the most heavenly halo of light around her light frame. ".... I'm not attracted to older women. That is.." He smirked in disbelief. "Unless you're enough of Akane's dog to have sex with someone simply because he asked."

When Kitanai began, Miu listened with a smile. But then her expression turned a little more sour, "Excuse me?" The fine hair on her neck bristled as she stood up, "You definitely are Akane's new lackey - you're so full of yourself already! I was whelped the same year as you, jerk, and the only dog of Akane here is you." Miu could be quite the vengeful creature when she wanted to be, yet her delicate form made it quite difficult to assert herself. "My job is to provide friendly conversation, nothing more." Although, she found that the misconception of her duty was a common one. If her position were likened to that of the human world, she would be described as a Geisha of sorts. "If you don't want that and prefer the verbal abuse in the house, then I will happily leave." She brushed past Kitanai, making sure her tail hit and stuck to his face as she did so.

Kitanai sighed as she stormed off, a little sad he'd misconceived the entire situation. She probably has to go through more crap than I did, he thought, but what the hell does 'companionship' mean? He frowned, knowing full well that getting on people's bad side on his first day wouldn't exactly be his most intelligent decision. "Hey, wait up!" he cried, racing after her, hoping to hide the fact that his muscles were still throbbing from the fight. "I'm sorry I said that, honest! I'm not exactly the greatest with words, and I'm no one's dog, especially not Akane's. And if we were born around the same year, why don't we be friends, eh?" He tried to put on his friendliest smile, praying it didn't come off as creepy or goofy.

Miu tossed her head back over her shoulder to look at him. She knew full well that Kitanai would run after her, "... You're lucky you're cute." She smirked and turned around to sit facing him, "It's funny that I've never noticed you around camp until now. Where were you stationed before?"

His grin grew even wider, now stupidly convinced his own charm had been what called her back. "Well, you see, I used to be scout in the finest recon squad ever!" he boasted, puffing out his chest a little. "We were really busy spying on the Iga every day, gathering new information for Kamui-sama. But now I'm in Akane's front line." After giving his own introduction, he opened his eyes a wider and cocked his head to one side. "Hey, Miu-chan, what exactly is your job?" He frowned. "Does it have something to do with all the rude stuff those males in the house say when you come in?" Mind you, Kitanai is the picture of innocence. Like most of the recon team, he'd never been allowed in the house before, and since he primarily spent most of his time with Joumae, he knew absolutely nothing of the Koga camp that she hated so much. Even his own clanmates were as a mystery to him--one that, now that he was free from Joumae--he'd like to solve.

Miu's brow raised, "The finest? Impressive..." Her already light, airy voice was subdued and soothing as she settled into Kitanai's boasting. Laying flat on her stomach, she arched her back so she too could display her densely-coated chest. Both Miu and her sister took great pride in their appearance, and their brilliant coats were soft and spotless; rather inviting for a weary, tired head. "Hmm, my job?" She exhaled, "To put smiles on faces!" She giggled and smiled at him, "But seriously, the males - especially the front line - need female company now and again to keep their spirits high. That rudeness? Harmless banter than I'm more than happy to encourage." Her eyes turned a little more seductive before she rolled onto her back at Kitanai's feet, "Playing is a part of it, too. Chasing... soft contact..." She got up again and walked behind him, making sure to brush his fur, "And of course, not forgetting..." Leaning in to the back of his neck, she whispered softly in his ear, "Lingering whispered promises." If it was one thing she loved, it was a new male not used to protocol.

At the slightest touch of their fur, a fire blazed through Kitanai's body, and shot back, bristling profusely and with his eyes wide as moons. "I-It would be really nice if you don't every do that again," he panted, shaking. Then, coughing, he straightened himself out, sitting up straight. "That doesn't seem like a very fun job to me," Kitanai mumbled.

"...Do what again?" Miu grinned, deciding to walk back around him and brush his fur once more, "That?" She laughed and jumped away from him, then span around laying her front legs flat on the ground with her rear held high in a playful pouncing possition, "Aw, sounds like someone hasn't had any fun for a while." The energetic female wagged her tail, "Though, I think to be fair on your wounds, perhaps a game of tag is out of the question?"

Flinching at her touch, Kitanai scouted away, only to glance back over as she crouched down playfully. "Eh, I dunno about that..." he muttered. "But--" He flashed her a toothy grin. "I bet you anything a recon master like me could beat you in hide-and-go-seek!"
